Our Inspiration
At Barklett's, our love for dogs isn't just a business – it's a way of life. As lifelong dog owners, we understand the joy and companionship they bring. We started Barklett's Home From Home because we wanted to give back a little of the love and happiness that dogs have given us over the years. Like you, we worry about our own dogs when we go on holiday and only ever want to leave them with kind, loving, dog-centred people. That's why we created Barklett's – to be those people for you and your beloved small breed.
A True Home From Home
When your furbaby stays with us, they become one of our family. We provide the same level of love and care we give to our own dogs. We attend to their catering, sleep, medication, and grooming needs on a daily basis. We ensure they receive exercise and enrichment activities tailored to their age and fitness levels. And of course, there will be an abundance of hugs, kisses, laptime, and belly rubs on demand! To help owners settle we will send regular 'pupdates' via photos, videos and if requested FaceTime to wherever you are in the world. We will do whatever it takes to help your furbaby feel like one of the family!

We understand that leaving your beloved dog can be stressful. That's why we want you to feel completely confident in our care. Barklett's has fully qualified staff who are licensed by Redcar and Cleveland Council and are insured to the highest level. Your pooch will be loved and cared for, washed and brushed, fed and watered and hugged and kissed every single day. We will work with you to ensure that they are as happy as possible in their home from home with Barklett's.
